Miss Universe Myanmar 2020, Thuzar Wint Lwin (Candy Thuzar), shares the memories of her journey to Miss Universe 2020 competition. She was placed in the top 21 and won the Best National Costume award.
“As today is 1 year anniversary of the competition, I uploaded the memories. Thanks everyone for supporting me.” Candy wrote on social media.
As a beauty pageant title holder, Candy became a political activitist for pro-democracy movement in Myanmar. She participated in protests, demonstrations and raising awareness against the military junta and 2021 coup. As a result, militiary juntas put out an arrest warrant for her.
